Autumn has arrived here in Central PA with muted reds and golds, fluctuating temperatures, and a nice crop of butternut squash in the garden.

I’m looking at it all from a new perspective, literally, as I just moved 2 weeks ago. Those of you who know me may find this surprising, since I refer to the Valley where I live as my “soul landscape”, but I didn’t abandon theses creeks, hills, and pastures, I just moved about 50 yards.

Yes, just 50 yards, but into a new world, as I realize my long time vision of downsizing and simplifying my home and lifestyle. And I did it right in my own backyard.

Do You —
– Have boxes in the garage to get rid of?
– Want your complex life feel more spacious and relaxed?
– Wish for simpler holidays this year?

Over the next several weeks, I’ll be sharing parts of my downsizing journey — how I visioned and achieved this major change, with all the ups and downs of the ride. I’ll share the tools I used to get and stay organized and how I found the inspiration and support to keep going through this long and sometimes difficult process of letting go, endless decisions, and just plain hard work.

I call it: Simple, Grateful, & Free: design, organize, and choose a more joyful life.

My hope is that you’ll be inspired to envision how your life could be more the way you want it to be and how you, too, could be more free. And I want to give you the tools to make your vision a reality.

I hope you’ll stay tuned to these blogs and join me on Facebook for daily inspiration and tools.

I believe YOU can design, organize, and choose a more joyful life!

All My Best,
Annie

This 1200 square foot garage was at the top of my backyard when I bought the house, nine years ago. it had an automotive paint spray booth in it. It was already plumbed for sewer water and had electrical service. Once I finally sold the booth, I could begin to dream about creating a living space there. Stay tuned over the next few weeks for more on how it all turned out.
